The location is very interesting. It's located right in the middle of the town, so we could get to the main tourist street in a minute. It also took us only 2 minutes to walk to the Gin onsen. The room is spacious. At least we have room to open 2 carry-on luggages without any problem. The room we stayed in included a private bathtub, which is nice for us on the night we arrived that both public bathes are closed. Although the water was just regular hot water. The shower is nice, has good water pressure, and has good quality shampoo conditioner. We arrived late, and the host waited for us to check in. Check-in and check-out process is easy and quick. You can also ask for more towels to go to the public bath.

So this hotel is located right next door to the Tenjin hot spring source. It’s very close to the Kin no Yu hot springs. There are 2 ways to walk to the hotel from the bus stand one involves climbing stairs which is shorter. There is a slightly longer route still walkable in 10 minutes, without stairs, as well. Best to pack light. The property itself is beautiful with the sweetest lady at the front desk. They don’t have an onsen in house but they give you free coupons for the public baths. The rooms are relatively large Japanese style rooms with tatami floors. The room had a large traditional looking bath with regular water as well. Breakfast was splendid. Be prepared to sit on the floor though.

Great location! Property was quietly tucked away from the main street but still only a 3 min walk to Hankyu Bus Station where the main street was as well. Very convenient. Dai, the lady who worked there was so helpful and hospitable. She came to pick us up from the street where we got off the taxi as we were a little lost from the cable car station to the town. I had booked a quadruple room for myself and my 6 years old son. The room was fabulous and comfortable - a balcony, good size deep bathtub, separate shower and toilet. The breakfast (paid with the room) was a spread and so tasty as well!

The entire stay was wonderful and quite affordable for a ryokan that includes two meals. There was a small misunderstanding with dinner so everyone ended up with vegetarian meals but it was so delicious. The little garden out front was well maintained and beautiful. We were right next to a small temple where you can see the steam coming off of the spring water rising. Our rooms were actually really big and we each had private baths but didn't use them. We were each provided with a ticket with the booking for one of the two bath houses in town.

The one staff member at the front desk was the sweetest woman we've met! She replied to my messages almost immediately. She was always happy to support anything we needed and even gave my partner some extra birthday breakfast the next morning. It was quiet and relaxing throughout the night too. The room was also very huge and we had an excellent view of the village. For the price we paid, I don't think anything could beat this!
